STOCKTON SIZZLES IN SUMMER

This beachside piece of paradise is located just north of Newcastle, and only an approximate 2hour drive from Sydney making this an ideal short break getaway from the city hustle.

There is plenty of family friendly things to see and do in and around Stockton.

STOCKTON BEACH

Stockton Beach stretches from the breakwater at the mouth of the Hunter River for 33km up the coast to Port Stephens. With stunning views of Port Stephens

There are patrolled areas of the beach perfect for the family to swim and plenty of beach for surfing. There are also picnic shelters, parkland and a beach kiosk which is located next to the main car park.

BEACH WALK

Enjoy just over 30 kilometres of unbroken beach stretching from Stockton Beach to Birubi Point.

STOCKTON SAND DUNES

With the largest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere, the dunes can tower up to 40m high and are constantly moving with the winds. Stockton Sand Dunes are a must visit to enjoy sand boarding and popular 4WD tours. The sand boarding is not for the feint hearted, so much fun on the descent and a mighty workout back to the top of the dune.

Visit Tin City a group of shacks cut off the rest of the world.

Tin City is a little known community living in 11 self-built tin shed built over 100 years ago. Tin City is only accessible via 4WD along the Stockton Beach as there are no roads. There are 4WD tours that visit Tin City.

CATCH THE FERRY

Hop on the Ferry and spend the day exploring Newcastle city in only a short few minutes. There is plenty to see and do exploring Newcastle city with a huge array of dining options, catch a movie at the cinemas, visit Newcastle Art Gallery, Newcastle Museum, Newcastle Shopping Mall. Take your bike and make a day of it exploring Newcastle City foreshore and beaches. The ferry runs regularly from Stockton across the Hunter River to Newcastle. 

TIME TO RIDE

Stockton has a 4km bike path which runs along the Hunter River from the Stockton Bridge along the harbours edge down past the ferry wharf and along Stockton Beaches’ one Kilometre breakwater and to Stockton Beach.

This 4 bedroom beach front home can comfortably accommodate up to 10guests with 4 bedrooms and 6 beds and 2 bathrooms and all the comforts of home with a large deck at the rear of the property perfect setting for an evening BBQ after a day out on the beach.
