Hawaiis Big Island is the largest of all Hawaiian Islands. The Big Island has the most spectacular scenery including one of the most active volcanoes in the world, the Kilauea volcano has been erupting continuously since 1983. With so many wonderful activities to do on the island you need to visit more than once to make the most of this piece of Hawaiian Paradise.

The Big Island of Hawaii boasts some of Hawaiis most varying landscape. A wonderful way to immerse yourself in this stunning landscape is from the air. If visiting this Hawaiian Island Paradise be sure to take a Hawaiian Helicopter Adventure if you can to be totally captivated by this natural beauty and experience such vast and varied landscapes.

We chose to ride with Sunshine Helicopters taking the Kohala-Hamakua Coast Helicopter tour. This 40-45minute flight was incredible. Perfect viewing from above, witnessing some of the most spectacular landscape we have ever seen. This particular tour took us over the South Kohala Resort coastline. Climbing past Waimea over the sweeping pasture lands of the Hakua and Ponoholo Ranches on route with the most magnificent waterfalls to see. We were in awe of the ever changing landscape, for those who appreciate nature at its best, this Helicopter tour may just be right for you.

The duration of this flight being 40-45minutes was perfect for our family.

A Volcano Deluxe Tour is also available the duration of this tour is approximately 1hour and 45 minutes, this I can only imagine would be breathtaking watching the live volcanic landscape from above would be magic.
